Explore our vision and progress...
Over the years, we have tested dozens of project management tools, often hitting walls: missing features, privacy concerns regarding workflow data, or excessive fragmentation. To solve this, we gathered feedback from our development team to create a single, unified desktop application that adheres to our core criteria without compromise.
We understand the complexities involved in resolving issues within native code stand-alone platforms. Therefore, we prioritized a robust wrapping approach using Electron and Next.js. This allowed us to build a high-performance MVP (Minimum Viable Product) that balances stability with development speed, ensuring the application is lightweight and reliable.
We built a document creation system based on standard Markdown, featuring code formatting and inline preview. With an always-visible, easy-to-manage WYSIWYG editor, we met documentation needs without overcomplicating development. Every document can be linked directly to a specific task and is fully exportable.
We know that articulating problems, finding the right titles, or taking notes can break a developer's flow. We integrated AI to help developers generate organized, readable documents and better describe tasks and to-dos. This operates on a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) protocol to ensure privacy and flexibility.
* Free Tier - Currently supports OpenRouter and Self-hosted LLMs. API settings for major LLMs will be available in the Pro version.
This is a major leap forward. As "Vibe Coding" gains traction, we recognized the need for an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server capable of communicating with both BYOK APIs and major CLIs like Claude Code, OpenCode, GLM, Cursor, and Codex. Any CLI can connect to the platform to create projects, tasks, notes, and docs via MCP Skills, making Kydu a powerful tool for anyone managing complex workflows, not just developers.
Upon completion of the AI features, we will launch the first public beta version for our users. This phase will be dedicated not just to bug reporting, but also to gathering feature proposals and ideas. We will reward the most active beta testers with significant incentives, ranging from free Pro lifetime plans to direct professional collaboration offers with our company.
We are introducing a Team Mode available as either fully self-hosted or hosted. Recognizing that teams need shared project areas and specialized task assignment, we are building infrastructure to support shared projects, documents, and real-time collaboration within the app.
We realize many teams rely on infrastructure beyond Supabase. We are engineering the Team version to support a wider range of hosted solutions to fit existing stacks seamlessly.
We are opening our API to empower the community. This marketplace will allow developers to build plugins, custom themes, and "Out-Core" functionalities for Kydu, extending the platform's capabilities infinitely.
